Terraphase supported the Presidio Parkway project in San Francisco, California, which replaced the southern access road to the Golden Gate Bridge, also known as Doyle Drive (Route 101).
Scope of Services
Terraphase provided construction management, environmental, and geotechnical engineering services to the Public Private Partnership (P3) responsible for the design and construction of the Presidio Parkway.
During construction, Terraphase managed soil movement for approximately 440,000 cubic yards of cut and 300,000 cubic yards of fill. Additionally, our team managed the project spoils management program during the cement deep soil mixing (CDSM) at the site. Terraphase engineers also monitored the groundwater treatment system and prepared quarterly National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) reports while our operators were providing routine and emergency system services.
Notable Accomplishments
- When the P3 team encountered unanticipated contamination, our team of engineers managed the successful execution of three excavations to remove the contaminated soil
- The Presidio Parkway was completed in 2015 and is the regional gateway through the Presidio and Golden Gate National Recreational Area
