Enhanced Air Emissions Reporting Takes Effect Jan 2020
Don’t err on the side of reporting! California Assembly Bill 617 (AB 617) was signed into law July 2017. Among other things, AB 617 requires the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to develop and implement enhanced emissions reporting of criteria and toxics air pollutants. To meet this requirement, CARB has adopted the Regulation for the Reporting of Criteria Air Pollutants and Toxic Air Contaminants (CTR Regulation), effective January 1, 2020, requiring annual reporting of criteria pollutant and toxic air contaminant emissions from subject facilities. Initial reports for calendar year 2019 are due May 1, 2020.
